Bettye LaVette moves my total existence with her raspy voice, delivery and interpretation. I am embarrassed to state that I recently came to know this great artist after hearing her rendition of the Who classic “Love Reign O’er Me”. Once I came into contact with her gift I realized that Bettye LaVette has been a pioneer in the industry.

Not garnering the recognition of other soul divas but richly deserving praise and adoration for all that she has accomplished.
