What I adore about business travel is finding a few moments between business events to locate the different and unusual.

On my recent trip to the South of France for an art event and business I ran across Francoise Schapira who owns three innovative boutiques in Nice France. Two of the stores are called Desert and the items are hip, chic and very French.

For instance Francoise purchased the first collection of Isabel Marant 25 years ago before her brand was synonymous with being a hip international French brand.

There are great leathers, custom bags, day fashions, shoes, accessories and glam evening wear.

The items are subdued but very chic in a French way. Hand selected by Francoise to ensure that each piece keeps with the vision she shares for her stores.

In this day of global fashion it is so nice to have a person that curates her items and brings her sense of rock and roll to her stores and clients, giving one the choice to purchase the unique.

Francoise is hands on to assist and advise if a look is good on one or not. Her innate sense of style allows her to have a long standing following not only in Nice but across the globe.
