After a hectic week of business travel and meetings in New York City it was so nice to have brunch at the Topping Rose House in Bridgehampton. The luxury boutique hotel houses beautifully appointed and restored rooms in the main building with modern cottages placed strategically on the grounds.

There is an inviting restaurant under the auspices of Tom Colicchio with two serving rooms one with a roaring fireplace and a welcoming bar and the other a bit more formal with windows facing the grounds. I truly enjoyed sitting by the fireplace and devouring my brunch while light snow fall outside. The service is elegant but understated and the ambience is comfortable not trendy. During the winter Brunch is served on weekends followed by dinner.

The Topping Rose House offers a spa year round, pool in season and small event rooms in the form of a renovated modern barn and an adjoining event facility that can open upon the pool and courtyard.

I am fortunate that my sister has a home in East Hampton but if the need ever arises I will definitely book myself a suite at the Topping Rose House followed by an exquisitely prepared meal!
