On a Sunday afternoon, we decided to celebrate our girlfriend’s birthday by having afternoon tea overlooking the water in old town of Alexandria.

We were looking for a local venue with great food and presentation in a peaceful ambiance that would be relaxing but fun.

We selected Lady Camellia since it met all our requests. Situated overlooking the water, it is a jewel box of a tea house. The interior is soothing with pink tones, special artwork, and large windows with expansive water views. The tea presentation is beautiful with China plates and cups with delicate butterflies and flowers. The diligence is perfect.

There is a wide selection of teas, both caffeinated and herbal to suit every taste. The tea sandwiches, scones and pastries are served on silver towers. There are a variety of tea sandwiches such as cucumber, chicken, and cheese with apple. The pastries are bite size which is perfect for afternoon tea, The scones are buttery and Lucious.

The attention to detail is fantastic making it a special experience.
