Four Seasons Tunis- Total bliss on North Africa’s Mediterranean coast

My family decided to take a holiday trip together last December and after lots of deliberation we decided to visit Tunis because of all the culture, history and cuisine. It was quite an accomplishment as we all live all over the globe and Tunis was a great location for those that reside in Europe and the Middle East. Not so close for those of us that reside in the US, but we got to spend some time in Europe after our trip to Tunis as a bonus.

We decided on the Four Seasons Tunis because it had recently opened in the upscale Gammarth section of Tunis, the capitol city right on the Mediterranean coast. It was one of the best decisions we made because the hotel is stunning!

The hotel has an arabesque architecture that is modern but pays homage to the culture and history of Tunis. The lobby is beautiful with different shades of beige marble, lanterns, arches and a large sculpture in the entrance that evokes a romantic oriental mood.

The Four Seasons Tunis is right on the Mediterranean with beautiful walks on the beach and soothing sea air. The sand is white, and it felt so good on our toes.

The resort has a cascading pool overlooking the water, a stunning indoor pool with arabesque arches, a complete spa and multiple restaurants. All the food we had was extremely fresh, especially the local fish which was grilled to perfection.

The spa was my favorite as the massage, and Hamman ritual I had was wonderful! The spa area is beautiful with the continuation of arabesque architecture that is pronounced throughout the indoor pool and the hotel. My spa therapists were professional and truly knew their craft. I came out of my massage and Hamman relaxed and refreshed. The body scrub of the Hamman was one of the best I have had.

Our room had a deluxe ocean view with a nice sitting area and small dining table overlooking the water. We had a large balcony facing the water with lounge chairs and enjoyed the fresh air. The massive bathroom all in beige marble had a soaking tub facing the Mediterranean, dual sinks and a large glass shower with state-of-the-art shower heads. The service was flawless and everyone we came across was so kind and wanted to make sure we had the best time.

I will definitely go back in a warmer season where I can enjoy the water and the warmer climate, but our family holiday vacation at the Four Seasons Tunis was beyond all my expectations.
