Traveling overseas I at times crave Persian food which is my comfort food. When traveling in the Middle East I am sure I can find some fantastic Persian food. I am always on the lookout for new dining venues.

On a recent trip to Abu Dhabi, I was so ecstatic that I found Belgrave a wonderful Persian restaurant owned by entrepreneur Honey Ebra. What sets Belgrave apart from other Persian restaurants is Honey’s attention to detail. She and her designer brother have made sure that every facet of the design of the restaurant is perfect. From the custom furniture to the lights and the art it is all thought out meticulously.

Of course, the main attraction is the food which is delicious and carefully executed. The Persian chef served us an assortment of kabobs with a variety of different favored Persian rice with saffron and fresh dill & fava beans ‘s. For the starters we had the salad Shirazi which is a fine chopped salad of tomatoes, cucumbers & onions with a lemon-olive oil dressing.

For dessert honey ordered us a cake that was a design masterpiece and tasted so good with rose and traditional spices.
