Traveling with Abercrombie and Kent in Jordan has been a great experience. I have been able to experience the culture and get to interact with the local population.

Being able to taste the local cuisine is so important for me because it affords me the opportunity to visit local restaurants and taste the regional food.

One restaurant that was recommended to me as being very authentic is Fakhr Din in Amman Jordan.

Located in city Central on a side street Fakhr Din is in a large house with great food, service and bustling energy!

When I visited it was mostly locals with a sprinkling of international tourists.

Our server didn’t speak a great deal of English but with my limited Arabic we managed to handle the ordering fabulously!

The food is very fresh with a selection of hot and cold mezza. An assortment of grilled kabobs and fish. Fakhr Din serves alcohol, fresh mint lemonade and an assortment of fresh juices.

Each dish I tried was very well made and extremely tasty. For desert I was brought fresh Melon and house made jams.

The management and servers are so nice and hospitable. Overall a wonder experience in Amman to taste such great food and mingle with the locals.
