Hotel America at the entrance to the Alhambra is quaint and magical! A charming hotel with a restaurant in a lovely courtyard where we had lunch before reembarking on our visit to the Alhambra.

The courtyard garden was such a refuge for us to have lunch after touring the exterior gardens of the Alhambra. We decided that we needed a relaxing lunch before we could tackle the main buildings and interior gardens as there was lots of walking involved.

We had meatballs with special sauce, the local sabika salad and beef entrecote. For dessert we had chocolate and orange cake and Tarta Nevada. Of course, no meal would be complete in Spain without the cortado. Surrounded by foliage and lush plants and trees, lunch was soothing.

Being on the exterior grounds of the Alhambra Hotel America, it is only a short walk to the entrance. It was just a perfect afternoon of food, libations, and culture!
