During this time like so many of you my live has changed, and I am exploring my local areas since international travel is limited. It is wonderful to learn about new venues near my home. The Virginia countryside is stunning with rolling hills, sparkling vistas, and great local food. One of my favorite areas to visit as it brings me great calm especially during these trying times.

The Inn at Little Washington has always been known for a its fantastic cuisine. Chef Patrick O’Connell has opened Patty O’s café & bakery right across from the Inn. Serving great American fare in a more relaxed setting. There is charming outdoor seating that is so soothing when the weather is nice. Further, there is a bakery on the side of the café that serves breakfast pastries, muffins, bread, and an assortment of coffees & teas.

Once a gas station Patty’s O’s has been remodeled to the perfect more casual dining venue as the food is delicious. Whether for a sandwich at lunch, the wild mushroom bolognese for dinner, or the bourbon pecan pie for dessert you cannot go wrong if you happen to be in the area. Chef O’Connell has taken a small town in Virginia and made a it a must on a culinary road trip!
