My friends Sam and Sylvie are planning a glorious multi-city trip to Italy in November. We were discussing Milan when I started thinking about my favorite dining venues. Milan is a city known for fashion and style with its share of fantastic restaurants.
Here are some of my favorites for food, ambiance, location and Style. Enjoy:

  • Il Salumaio Di Montenapoleone is one of my favorite venues for lunch especially if I am sitting in the stunning courtyard. A must as it’s right on Via Montenapoleone, the center of high end shopping. Il Salumaio Di Montenapoleone pricey but worth it as it has fantastic ambience with exceptional attention to detail, amazing food and service. This is a great piece of tranquility right in bustling Milan. The selections of desserts are made on premises and are absolutely delicious.
  • Founded in 1975, Ribot Milano is a classic Italian restaurant on an estate with a stunning terrace. You cannot go wrong here if you are looking for Tuscan fare. From the grilled meats to the vast antipasto and the luscious deserts it is a gastronomic journey. A great location for a business or family dinner or even a romantic date. I have enjoyed every visit and the service is so friendly and fun.
  • Ratana is a favorite for its innovative and modern Italian cuisine. It is not a traditional restaurant but one with a modern flair and delicious food. Located in a former railroad storeroom Ratana has an industrial edge. I adore the pre-fixe lunch menu that allows you to sample the items.
  • NOBU is my spot for Japanese fusion In Milan. I enjoy this Japanese eatery in Milan for its design and for the fact that it is housed in the ARMANI complex right in the center of Milan. NOBU is open late which is a plus for business travelers after a late meeting.
