I was just in Los Angeles for business and the fact that I was so close to the beach just lifted my spirt and my soul. There is something special about being near the sun, water and sand that places me in the best mood. Even business travel doesn’t seem so treacherous and mundane.

I was fortunate to meet my client in Pacific Palisades for lunch at the new quaint Palisades Village. We ate at the Draycott which is a beautifully designed and decorated eatery. The Draycott reminds me of being in London with the sophisticated bright chic interiors and southern California with gorgeous terrace seating.

My client Rosaline and I sat at a corner banquette on the covered terrace overlooking the grassy lawn and were immediately placed in a tranquil state. We had the prixe fixe menu for lunch which was more than generous for lunch. I started with a cobb salad and the grilled fish. I skipped dessert but it looked very tempting.

The food, service and ambience was fantastic and conducive to a business lunch. The view over the lawn was just stunning. In inclement weather the indoors is well-appointed with, plants, bright colors natural wood and a lovely bar.

Even though a new development, Palisades Village is beautifully designed with a main square, alleys, stunning trees and plants and assortment of shops, dining options and entertainment.
