The State Department advised today August 6, 2020 that they were lifting the Level 4 Global Travel Advisory implemented on March 19,2020.

On March 19th the State Department in conjunction with the CDC decided to announce the level 4 advisory which is the highest level for international travel.

As of today they are going back to a country by country specific travel advisories with detailed information for each country based on the current health crisis. The State Department is detailing which countries are safe to travel too based on statistical information.

This information means that the blanket international travel advisory was lifted but US citizens are being told to be cautious and do their due diligence before booking international travel.
