With the onset of the pandemic international travel has been limited so I have come to explore my local area and I have been fortunate to find some dinning gems! The city of Annapolis is charming with its water setting, tree lined streets with colonial architecture and local dinning venues.

One of my favorites around the state capitol is Harry Browne’s a classic restaurant with delicious food and an elegant ambiance. I adore a weekend lunch at Harry Browne’s especially during this challenging time. It places me in a tranquil mood. It calms my senses and restores a bit of normalcy.

The lunch menu is a wonderful selection of creative salads, sandwiches, appetizers, and a small section of entrees. I love the crab cake entrée with roasted asparagus with a multicolored beet salad to start. The burgers accompanied with hand cut fries are delectable. In season the pumpkin soup is savory and perfect for a frigid winter day.

The pastry chef creates the perfect desserts to finish a meal. The chocolate cake is my favorite so moist and decadent. Harry Browne’s is quintessential old school with a dash of modernity! A perfect place to have a meal  at the restaurant downstairs or sip a libation at the upstairs bar.
