La Voglia is a great family style Italian restaurant in old Nice, a block away from the water. It’s modern, hip and serves great food. Owned by a local family that owns other restaurants in Nice, they have great customer service, reasonable prices and the food is very fresh.

The portions are large so perfect for sharing. A wonderful dining experience right in the heart of the old city of Nice. While I was visiting my family, we went on a Saturday night and had a great time. It was young a hip crowd mixed with families.

We started with a fresh artichoke salad and a salad with Parma ham and fresh mozzarella. Then for our main courses we had grilled dourade, pasta with lobster, a pizza with arugula and parma ham and pasta with mushrooms.

Each dish we tried was delicious and plenty to share between several people. Then even though we were full we had to try the desserts, so we had the creme caramel and the profiterole’s with hot chocolate sauce.

The desserts are decadent and extremely large so one dessert can easily serve 4-5 people. La Voglia was the perfect venue for a Saturday night dinner with great food, a fantastic location on the old city of Nice and delicious food. As usual my family was spot on in choosing a dining venue!
