I like to travel to St. Barths in the off season when I can take advantage of the island without the crowds. I can visit the stunning beaches such as Colombier, Grande Saline and Gouverneur to walk, swim, and just relax. It is truly a slice of paradise.

St. Barths might be known for its ritz and glitz, but it is a beautiful piece of nature and wonderful for hiking, long beach walks, swimming, snorkeling and just recharging the soul. The scenery and mountains coming down to the ocean is stunning. Each part of the island has a different natural landscape. With the sunrise and sunset, the island leaves me gasping with its insanely natural beauty.

With all this exercise and outdoor activity there comes the need to eat and St. Barth’s has some fantastic dining options. I adore sitting outdoors and, on the beach, when I visit an island. I am always indoors for business so for my free time I prefer the outdoors even for dining.

Shellona located right on Shell beach is a fantastic Greek restaurant serving fresh food right on the beach. The Greek fare and mezes are delicious and the perfect setting right on the beach to watch the sunset with a libation in hand! The fact that Shellona is right on Shell beach makes it really special and the casual ambience makes it perfect to just chill out.

I have been going to St. Barths for many years and appreciate the fact that there is no mass commercialization so that the island can retain its natural charm and beauty.
