Capri is a stunning part of the Amalfi Coast, not easy to get to but worth the trip. In my opinion the best way the get to Capri is from Naples via the fast hydrofoil, a fifty minute ride with stunning views across the bay of Naples.

Once in Capri there is an assortment of beach clubs situated on the bottom of the cliffs where one can rent a sun-bed with an umbrella. Reserve in advance as in the summer season the beach clubs sell out fast.

These beach clubs offer food and drink service along with nice full service restaurants.

I went to Da Luigi which was a winding steep walk from Via Tragara down past the Fragaloni rocks to the sea. The beach club is situated in a cove and I was left spellbound by the natural beauty. I was in awe of the location, the view and the friendliness of the staff.

When you swim you are surrounded by the majestic rocks. Not easy to get to and harder to climb back up to the main road but worth the experience.

Being at the Da Luigi Beach club is like going back in to time. An era where natural beauty and cliff side swimming was natural. A time when life was simpler!
