Proud to have attended the 14th Annual United States Tour Operators Association (USTOA) Congressional Caucus in Washington, DC, this week on behalf of my companies Travel Document Systems and Pinnacle TDS.. It was a privilege to connect with industry colleagues and meet with key lawmakers on Capitol Hill.

Travel connects people and cultures across the globe. It is soft diplomacy in action. Advocacy plays a critical role in fostering dialogue between our industry and legislators who shape the policies that impact travel, tourism, and economic growth.

During our meetings, we discussed several important issues, including:

• Passport processing, modernization and efficiency
• Reducing U.S. visa wait times for vetted international travelers
• Increased funding for our National Parks
• Supporting Brand USA to promote U.S. tourism globally
• Restoring and enhancing travel between the U.S. and Canada
• Air traffic control modernization
• Protecting TSA and FAA operations during future government shutdowns
• DOT aviation consumer protection initiatives
• Investing in and strengthening travel infrastructure

A special thank you to our outstanding team leader, Dana Santucci. It was an honor to collaborate with my fellow team members: Becky Wingfield, Ashley MacLaughlin, Malia Asfour, Peter E. Pincus, CTC , Carylann Assante, CAE

Many thanks as well to Julia Baechli of Elevate Government Affairs for her guidance and expertise throughout our Capitol Hill meetings. Thank you officer Bradshaw for your service and making us safe!

Finally, sincere gratitude to Terry Dale and Peggy Murphy and the entire team at #USTOA for their vision and leadership. Year after year, you continue to raise the bar and set the standard.

When we work together the world can be a better place!
