I adore great pastries, especially when they are paired with a beautiful setting and an unforgettable ambiance. Walking into Cédric Grolet Monaco is an experience in itself. Housed within the historic and iconic Hôtel de Paris Monte-Carlo, the setting provides the perfect backdrop for pastries that are nothing short of works of art.

Located on the hotel’s elegant patio, Cédric Grolet Monaco surrounds you with history, beauty, and the creations of a pastry chef who has taken the art of pastry to an entirely new level. Cédric Grolet has created some of the world’s most artistic and visually captivating pastries—creations so distinctive that they have inspired countless others.

During a recent trip to visit my family, I was completely taken by the artistry and meticulous design of each pastry. Whether you visit for breakfast, lunch, or afternoon tea, I highly recommend sitting on the terrace, taking in your surroundings, and allowing yourself time to savor your sweet treat. For those who prefer to take their pastries with them, there is also a boutique where the creations are available for purchase.

We settled in with hot beverages and an assortment of pastries so that we could taste our way through the collection and discover the flavors hidden inside each creation. We began with pastries designed to look like real fruit, and cutting into them revealed a treasure trove of beautifully crafted flavors, all handmade on the premises.

Next came a decadent chocolate creation, followed by an assortment of viennoiseries and pastries, including the apple, filled with delicious apple flavors. And, of course, the croissants were impeccable—whether enjoyed plain or filled.

Sitting on the terrace of the Hôtel de Paris, surrounded by its timeless elegance, while savoring these extraordinary pastries and our hot beverages was one of the highlights of my trip. There was something especially memorable about experiencing such originality and artistry in such a beautiful and relaxing setting.

At Cédric Grolet Monaco, pastry becomes more than something to eat—it becomes an experience to admire, discover, and savor.
