For those of us that are in a constant state of business travel it can becomes grueling. It is fantastic to find a hotel that feels more like a home than an impersonal hotel.

I find it soothing and comforting when I am staying in a smaller property that offers  more service and attention to detail. It makes business travel less arduous.

I was fortunate to visit Bogota Colombia on a cultural tour and have the good fortune to stay at the Four Seasons Casa Medina. A beautiful Spanish-colonial mansion that has been restored as a 62 room hotel in the heart of Bogota. The Four Seasons has two hotels in Bogota. One that is sleek & modern and Casa Medina  that is so charming and special.

The best part of any hotel is the staff and the staff at the  Casa Medina make you feel so special attending to ones every needs.

This is a boutique property so not for those that are expecting a large hotel. The lounge and outdoor/indoor restaurant serves continental cuisine with s dash of Colombian flavors.

I enjoyed sitting on the outdoor terrace sipping a tea and cookies between my cultural visits. Watching the locals go by as the Casa Medina is located in an area full of great restaurants.

There is a 24 hour gym and and small spa.  The concierge and front desk team go out of their way to make one feel comfortable by arranging car services, restaurant reservations, tours and providing information on Bogota and the surrounding areas so one can navigate the city with comfort.

There has been so much negative press on Bogota  and Colombia but I found Bogota to be a dynamic city full of culture, history and amazing art! The people of Colombia are so inviting and kind that they made my stay uber special!
