The Wildset Hotel on the Eastern shore of Maryland is a gem! Composed of four nineteenth century buildings with the main building being a schoolhouse from 1871.  The three other buildings are across the street. All four buildings are on the quaint main street.

Each of the buildings has been meticulously renovated retaining the charm but with comfortable modern amenities and touches. The renovation is chic and airy. Hotels in the area seem dated and out of touch with travelers’ needs but the Wildset has figured out that today’s travelers want a chic hotel with nice rooms at a fair price. The rooms are design centric with a Scandinavian feel.  Extremely modern but comfortable.

Perfect for corporate retreats, special events like birthdays, anniversaries, and weddings. When you walk into the main building you are greeted by a front desk, that is a store carrying specialty items and a coffee shop.  A great idea because at times you want to grab tea or coffee to go to your room or sit on the outside porch. Further, there are times when one forgets an item like perfume or wants to get a gift to take back home.

The team is very professional and kind and makes one feel at home. They offer smores to indulge in at the fire pit in the back garden and continental breakfast in the morning.

The restaurant RUSE is located on the lobby level and provides amazing fresh seafood with indoor or terrace seating. The Wildset is a perfect venue for so many occasions offering lots of options for a small hotel complex.
