Benoît by master French chef Alain Ducasse is a fantastic bistro in mid-town Manhattan. With a café and more formal restaurant, this bistro serves great food at affordable prices with a fun Gallic ambience.

My sister invited me for brunch on a Sunday while I was in New York for business. Since it was restaurant week, Benoit was offering a delicious three course menu that I took advantage of. Whether one has brunch or lunch fare you can’t go wrong!

I started off with a carrot soup that was delicious followed by a branzino that was grilled to perfection. For dessert, I had one of the best crème caramel I have ever devoured. I know my crème caramels because my mother makes a fierce one. My sister had the crepe and pancake buffet which was divine. I tried her Nutella crepe which was a spiritual experience!

The ambience is French bistro with great service and a fun laid back atmosphere especially in the front café part. Benoit serves breakfast so a great spot if one is staying in midtown for business.

Overall, I found the food, décor and ambience at Benoit to be a great find in Midtown Manhattan! Can’t wait to return to try some breakfast farre with a side of Nutella crepes. Yummy!
