Boca Raton had completely fallen off my travel radar. I travel often to Miami for business but Boca was just not a place I thought off for a vacation. Last week I had to attend a conference in Boca Raton and had the pleasure of staying at the Boca Beach Club which a part of the Boca Raton Resort & Club which is owned by the Waldorf Astoria group.

I was enamored by the Beach Club because it is only 200 rooms right on a pristine beach with fantastic service. The rooms are soothing in tones of blue, beige, white and blue. The bathrooms are large, sleek and well-appointed in white marble. Even though I was traveling for business I was able to take an early morning walk before I headed off to my meetings. The staff is super service oriented and the hotel acts as private beach club as well so you run into locals. The crowd is not as trendy as Miami and more low key.

The beach property has three pools, sits on a beach, and has a cozy lobby bar and a lovely restaurant. The food I had on property was delicious, fresh and innovative. The complete gym overlooks the water and they offer daily classes. I had very little leisure time but would love to return for a water aerobics class!

There is a complimentary shuttle to the main resort that used to be a monastery. The main resort has as the spa, additional pools, various restaurants like Morimoto an off shoot from the Iron Chef and the “monkey bar”, a quite small quaint bar.

I am really considering going back for some rest & relaxation and enjoying all I was not apply to savor this trip!
