Located across the water on the Promenade De Anglais in Nice is Di Pui. A fantastic Italian restaurant owned by restauranter Serge Cannatella. Di Piu is situated across the Mediterranean Sea at the entrance to the flower market in old Nice at Cours Saleya.

One of my favorite facts about the South of France is my family that lives there and the amazing sun. Since Di Piu is located across the water covered by all glass in the winter and totally open air in the warmer months it is a fantastic location to relax, savor the soothing sun, reflect and eat great food.

The portions of the pasta and desserts are large so you can easily share. I just spent my birthday in the South of France, so I was fortunate to dine at Di Pui twice. The items I have tried are the prosciutto and arugula pizza, the escalope de veau, the lasagna, the seafood pasta and my favorite the shaved artichoke, spinach and parmesan salad. The items are fresh and delicious but what makes it special is eating my meal gazing at the water as utterly blissful.

Dessert is the best part of the meal. Di Pui creates some of the best desserts I have had. The profiteroles with the dark chocolate sauce and the crème caramel are large in size and delicious. Truly decadent but worth every calorie. A meal at Di Pui is a visual experience with the sea view, freshly prepared food and the tantalizing desserts.
