Ellington Park Bistro is a contemporary French restaurant in Washington DC. It is so refreshing to go to a bistro where the food is tasty and well prepared. If I must try a new restaurant, I like to go during restaurant week so I can get an assortment of dishes and not break the bank in the process.

Located in the St. Gregory Hotel the Ellington Park Bistro serves delicious French fare. We tried the salmon carpaccio and Caesar salad for starters. For our entrée we had branzino almondine, which was one of the best I have had, and veal schnitzel. For dessert we tried the profiteroles accompanied by a strawberry sorbet and the trio of house made sorbets. The food is not heavy, and the taste is wonderful. The service was very attentive, and the ambience was delightful. With cozy banquettes designed in green and white with an airy atrium that allows one to look out onto the tree-lined street and the Duke Ellington park across the street.  The décor and glass ceilings are cozy and comfortable.

I look forward to returning for breakfast, brunch, or dinner so I can try other items on the delicious menu. The entire experience was delightful!
