Noosh is a new Persian and Mediterranean restaurant in the Georgetown section of Washington, DC. Started by two Middle Eastern couples that wanted to bring homemade Mideastern cuisine to the neighborhood.

It has a relaxing and inviting décor and ambiance. A full menu of appetizers, kababs, stews, and desserts. My favorite are the Kababs that are chargrilled to perfection with saffron laden basmati rice and grilled tomatoes. There is a selection of fish, chicken and meats to  meet everyone’s tastes.

I adore the yogurt with shallots to accompany my rice. The shallots add a special flavor to the yogurt. I tried the stews as well and the pomegranate with walnuts is zesty and delicious. For dessert there is a selection of Persian ice cream, almond cake, and baklava. Then there is fresh brewed Persian tea to go with the desserts.

The owners are so customer service oriented. They stopped by our table to thank us for dining and to make sure our food was to our liking. I love to support local businesses especially female owned as so important to their success.
